A family from Alaska turned up in Moab this mild 2012 winter. The little ones biking along on a special kid’s accessory, a tagalong. North of Moab, the paved pathway is under construction at Courthouse Wash to enable a non-hiway access to State Road 279, affectionately known as, the Potash Road. Also North of Moab construction of retainer walls are the first steps in the process of a bikeway between 500 West and the hub at Lion’s Park (the intersection of Hwy 191 with Hwy 128).
Meanwhile, here is the blog of a family enjoying Moab in winter. Perfectly adapted to the mild winter, Moab often experiences.
Other terrific winter things to accomplish with the family is hinted at in the above post: Dinosaur Prints! Event the local children scramble over rocks to be amazed by dinosaurs that once inhabited ancient Moab.
